LIVE FREE to Host Event at Riverside Church Celebrating the Life the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Rev. Dr. Bernice A. King to be a Special Guest
NEW YORK – LIVE FREE, an entity dedicated to ending the death penalty, gun violence and mass incarceration, today announced the ‘MLK 55 Years Later: Can the Church Study War No More,’ event. The event comes amid a harrowing war in Ukraine, and crisis in the United States. It will celebrate the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., while offering hope for leaders advancing justice. It will be held 55 years after the assassination of Dr. King, on April 2 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Riverside Church. The event is free and open to the press.
