Dr. Noha Aboelata is a family practice physician who formed the Roots Community Health Center in Oakland to support communities impacted by systemic inequity and poverty. “As founder and CEO of a community-rooted health center devoted to uplifting individuals, families and communities, I am honored to become an AHS trustee,” she said. “Historically and today, AHS is a critical safety net provider and health guardian for some of the most marginalized among us. I have devoted my entire career to this very mission. I look forward to bringing the insights and experiences of Roots’ clients and staff to the work of AHS and carrying the collective wisdom of my fellow AHS trustees and partners back to Roots so that we can together improve the well-being of East Bay residents.”
